Meet Ramona's dog, Henri!
The school year if officially under way, and while kids might dread the news, science says dogs aren't fond of back-to-school time either. Our furry friends can become anxious once school starts because they may no longer receive the amount of playtime and attention they received over the summer.
Nearly 20% of America's dogs suffer from separation anxiety according to Dr. Nick Dodman of Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
How dogs cope with that feeling of abandonment may vary. 70% of dogs will bark, howl or whine, while 60% will become so anxious that they destroy objects.
Ramona believes dogs do suffer from anxiety because her dog Henri can't stand to be away from Wheezy. Matt thinks the idea that we can read dogs' feelings is silly. Whose side are you on?
