Remove the zest from 10 lemons with a veggie peeler, combine with 2 750-ml bottles of vodka in a large pitcher.

Cover and keep in a cool dark place for 5 days. Strain and discard the zest. In a large saucepan simmer

3 cups of sugar and 4 cups of water until sugar dissolves (approx. 4-6 min). Let cool then stir into vodka mixure.

Refrigerate for up to one month.
