I learned a new term while in St. Lucia and plan on doing it regularly now that I'm back home in Charlotte. LIMING. It means "to chill", but the pre-requisite to Liming is an adult beverage in your hand otherwise you'll just be slacking- not liming. And you know me, I'm all about succeeding when I put my mind to something! Speaking of, my new friends at Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort seemed to have mastered the art of making their guests seem completely spoiled yet right at home. Beyond the wonderful employees who are genuinely happy to see you, to the ridiculous 5 star service, to the yummy all-you-can-drink adult beverages, the food at Sandals Grande St. Lucian is fabulous!
You can choose to go to a breakfast buffet at Bayside, that is loaded with amazing choices like stuffed French Toast and omelets made to order, or you can enjoy specialty coffees and crepes made-to-order at Josephine's (which is open all day and late into the night). At lunch, Mariner's offers anything from amazing mussels or tuna burgers to nachos and salads. I think I ate at Dino's Pizzeria 4 out of the 5 days because they bake killer thin crust pizzas in their wood fired pizza oven that tasted like the pizza I ate when I vacationed in Italy. DELICIOUS! Speaking of Italian food, Toscanini's offers Tuscany inspired Italian dishes and white glove service. We went there for Anthony's birthday dinner and they spoiled him rotten. If you like French food you'll love going to Bayside at night for white glove service and amazing French food. I think you get my point. No matter you're tastes or your cravings, Sandals has you covered.
Personally, after indulging in extra calories I love keeping active when I'm on vacation so I took full advantage of the all-inclusive watersports at Sandals Grande St. Lucian as well as Sandals La Toc and Halcyon. I'm slacking because I didn't mention that when you stay at 1 Sandals in St. Lucia you get to play at all 3! It was really neat to enjoy the free shuttle ride over to the other Sandals Resorts to see their beautiful grounds and play with some fun people. I golfed with Morgan, Casey and Damien and went snorkeling my radio pals and friends from Clear Results Marketing. I tried paddle boarding, and sailing with Wesley, and even played basketball in the pool with some fun people I met from New Jersey. There's so much to do when you vacation at a Sandals Resort- even scuba diving- and it's all included in your stay. No pressure, though. If you want to lay around all the time and eat and drink then do it. You'll want for nothing.
They do offer poolside entertainment and nightly fun if you're interested and I just bet you'll meet some cool people and maybe even lifelong friends while staying at a Sandals Resort. I met a group of fun Canadians at Halcyon who had met one another 14 years ago at Sandals Antigua and have vacation together at Sandals resorts ever since (a total of 18 Sandals vacations as a six-some)!
