My 11 year-old daughter told me she wants to be a model and she went on-line and printed out info on modeling agencies looking for new talent. However, I know that businesses like that are scams that bilk people for money they don't have by promising fame and fortune that's never meant to be. Yet my daughter really wants to do this. Do you know of any legit agencies that would at least meet her and give their opinion on her potential?
Concerned and Cautious
Any Charlotte talent agency that offers Walk In auditions with "No Appointment Necessary" are legit. The once you want to watch out for are the ones that do the big seminars and ask you to pay a fee for their opinion. If your daughter has potential, it won't cost you a dime for her to become a model. The talent agency will take her pictures and spread the word about her because when she makes money they make money. If you're asked to pay hundreds of dollars for a portfolio- leave immediately!
