My husband and his friends always go on a beach trip every year to go boating and do some fishing. I've always wanted to go, and have asked to turn the guys theme into a couples theme, but I've always been told no. Well I just found out that, this year, two of the guys will be traveling with their new girlfriends. Obviously I was upset about this but my husband told me that he and the rest of the guys are just as ticked off. Regardless, if women are now allowed to go shouldn't all the wives and girlfriends be invited?
I can only imagine how much trouble those guys have stirred up amongst the rest of the group by allowing their girlfriends to come along. Hilarious! How silly is it to think that a grown man can't go away for a weekend with his pals without his wife or girlfriend feeling insecure? Odds are those gals put up such a fuss they had to cave in and let them go along. I know that you, on the other hand, are trying to have a couples getaway- but you don't need to take their guy's weekend and redefine it in order to get what you want. Instead, pick another weekend- another time of year- and start a new couples getaway tradition! For now, let your husband go on this "sort of" guys weekend without making a fuss and then just sit and wait for him to return with some fun stories!
Keep me posted,
