The CDC reports that there have been twenty pediatric flu-related deaths since flu season began. Oddly enough, they do not track adult flu-related deaths. The flu kills around 36,000 people per year in the United States. Dr. Sanjay Gupta says that most of the people who die from the flu already have underlying illnesses or a weakened immune system. Most people can survive the flu by getting plenty of fluids and rest, but there's one definite sign that things have taken a turn for the worst.
