The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has raised a great deal of money and awareness for the ailment widely known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Now Hilary Swank is leading a new film, “You’re Not You,” that tells the fictional story of Kate, a pianist diagnosed with ALS.
Via “Entertainment Weekly,” the first trailer for the adaptation of George C. Wolfe’s novel co-stars Emmy Rossum ("Shameless") as Kate’s new assistant, with an unorthodox approach to helping her friend.
After a rocky start, Kate and Rossum’s college student come together and form a bond that even those closest to her can’t seem to grasp, in this inspiring project that seems to have as much humor as it has heart.
Josh Duhamel plays her husband, along with Marcia Gay Harden. While they don’t appear in the trailer, “EW” reports that Ali Larter, Jason Ritter and Loretta Devine also star.
“You’re Not You” is expected to be released on October 10. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!
