Gwen Stefani majorly goofed when announcing Stephen Colbert’s win at the Emmys, at the talk show host isn’t letting her forget it.
When “The Colbert Report” returned after its end-of-summer hiatus on Tuesday night, just one day after the Emmy Awards, Colbert had a little tweak for the show’s credits.
As Jezebel points out, the word “Colbore” – very close to Stefani’s pronunciation of the show’s title – can be seen in the satirist’s patriotic opening sequence.
The Internet went crazy on Monday, with many trolls calling the new coach on “The Voice” the new John Travolta (who famously called Idina Menzel “Adele Dazeem” at the Oscars).
At least she got most of the word right! We’re pretty sure Gwen’s mistake won’t sway contestants on the NBC reality hit when the No Doubt frontwoman makes her debut in September.
Check out the credits for yourself at the show’s official site (it’s just past the 2:30 mark) and remember Gwen’s intro below!
