Two FOX comedies made major casting decisions this week.
First up, “Glee” has reportedly secured Chord Overstreet, AKA Sam “Trouty Mouth” Evans, for the full 13-episode final season.
Overstreet told E! Online he assumes he’ll “be in all of the episodes” of the musical comedy's final episodes.
While it may not sound like much, the show has been very much in transition once again, with Naya Rivera stepping down to a recurring role and the series making a marked return to McKinley High in season 6.
Elsewhere on FOX, “New Girl” has secured “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” actress Kaitlin Olson for a recurring role, TVLine reports.
In season 4, she’ll recur as Ashley, Jess’s (Zooey Deschanel) old nemesis who is now married to her father (Rob Reiner).
Olson is the latest “Sunny” transplant on FOX, following in the footsteps of “Mindy Project” guest stars Rob McElhenny (who will appear this fall) and Glenn Howerton.
