In the 12 years since “Crossroads,” Zoe Saldana’s career has exploded.
She’s set to work on three “Avatar” sequels, “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” and a third “Star Trek” movie.
But if the outer space-loving actress is ever ready to return to Earth, Britney Spears is ready to make a “Crossroads” sequel.
According to “Us Weekly,” Saldana issued a message of support on “Watch What Happened Live” when questioned about the “Toxic” singer, telling her not to worry about the haters.
Brit responded on Twitter, not only thanking the actress, but asking if she was down for a second road trip:
A full-on reunion might be difficult, and not just because of Saldana’s movie schedule and Britney’s Las Vegas residency.
Taryn Manning is a tad busy on Netflix’s smash hit “Orange Is the New Black,” and the original screenplay was written by Shonda Rhimes, who was last seen taking over ABC’s schedule with a three hour Shondaland block coming to Thursdays this fall.
While nothing to write home about critically or commercially, “Crossroads” has grown into a cult classic over the past decade.
