Blake Lively chose to lie low after the end of “Gossip Girl,” which makes her next move – launching a lifestyle site – even more of a shock.
But Preserve is now live, and Lively penned the editor’s letter for the inaugural week, and it’s pretty self-deprecating.
In it, she explains that she is “intimidated” about the site and is “certainly no arbiter of what you should buy, wear, or eat,” before stating that she’s “hungry for experience.”
The actress describes the side as “part magazine, part e-commerce hub, part philanthropic endeavor and above all a place to showcase the power of imagine, ingenuity, quality, and above all, people.”
Lively, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, recently opened up about comparisons to Gwyneth Paltrow, who has her own lifestyle site, GOOP.
“I’m always the first person to defend Gwyneth Paltrow. Or any woman in a position of power, like Martha Stewart of Oprah, who gets burned,” she told “Vogue.” “Because they have paved the path for so many other women who are doing something they believe in.”
