BINGHAMTON, NY - JUNE 24: Dexter Roberts performs with Majesty Rose during the American Idol Live! 2014 Tour Kickoff at the Broome County Arena on July 24, 2014 in Binghamton, New York.
One “American Idol” hopeful has left the season 13 tour, and no, they weren’t voted off.

Per The Hollywood Reporter , Dexter Roberts has left the 41-date tour, and in a statement from his publicist, “Both parties mutually agreed that he would be released from his contractual obligations to continue performing on the tour.”

Dexter has been a no-show for the American Idol Live Tour since July 1st, and while no reason has been release as to why he left, according to fellow “Idols” CJ Harris and Jess Meuse, Roberts has an unknown illness.

Roberts finished seventh on the thirteenth season of American Idol and became famous for his renditions of Luke Bryan’s “Muckalee Creek Water” and The Georgia Satellites “Keep Your Hands to Yourself.”

Whatever the reason for leaving the tour, we’ll miss you, Dexter!
