By now everyone knows that CeeLo will not back for the seventh season of “The Voice” but many are still not sure why he left in the first place.
In an interview with US Weekly recently to promote his new show “The Good Life” Green said it started to feel like a job.
“It easily and quickly became a job…very, very obligating and tiring,” said Green. “I still tip my hat to Adam and Blake that continuously do it. I think I ran my course there just naturally and amicably we parted ways. I got some really great memories there and it really gives me the leverage to go elsewhere and be a success as well.”
Not so sure about you, but I’d love a job that had me wearing a track suit, hanging out with uber talented musicians, sitting in a comfy swivel chair and judging people. Sign me up!
As we know, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have stepped in to fill the both Green and Christina Aguilera’s spots next season on the highly successful show.
We’ve got our fingers crossed for a mash up of “Happy” and “Hollaback Girl.”
Thanks for the great memories CeeLo and good luck with all your future musical and reality TV ventures.
