Katherine Heigl
has worn “27 Dresses,” learned “The Ugly Truth” and lived “Life as We Know It.”

But even she realizes that might have overdone it with the romantic comedies, which she confessed in a new “Marie Claire UK” interview.

“I had an amazing time. I love romantic comedies. I was so stoked to be doing them. But maybe I hit it a little too hard. I couldn’t say no,” she told “Marie Claire.” “There’s nothing wrong with them, but maybe I overloaded my audience. I should have done a superhero movie or a psychological thriller.”

The outspoken Heigl admits that the roles got a bit “rote,” and she says she felt angry for a long time about her career.

“This thing that was my best friend for a long time suddenly turned on me. And I didn’t expect it,” she added to “Marie Claire.” “I was taken by surprise and angry at it for betraying me.”

After the surprise success of “The Nut Job” earlier this week, Heigl got good news this spring when her NBC drama, “State of Affairs,” was picked up to series.
