Chelsea Handler is moving on up to Netflix!
The late night host is saying later to her E! series in late August, and while her future has been up in the air since that announcement, she has her next gig lined up.
TVLine reports that in 2016, she’ll launch a Netflix series in the hopes of “reimagining the late night talk show for the on-demand generation.”
The show, which does not yet have a title, will still be a mix of pop culture dissection and interviews with celebrities.
Aside from that, Chelsea will also perform a stand-up special for Netflix and for “docu-comedy specials” on various topics.
“Chelsea Lately” will end its seven-year run on Tuesday, August 26 with a one-hour live finale. The streaming service has been pushing more into the comedy scene lately.
Along with previous entries like “Arrested Development” and comedy-drama “Orange Is the New Black,” Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are reuniting for a new comedy series to air next year.
