Talk about the coldest story ever told: Kanye West was reportedly booed by the crowd during his act at Bonnaroo.
Around the time he was performing “Heartless,” the mercurial rap star launched into an expletive-filled rant about the media and the way they were reporting on graffiti that had been popping up.
Kanye seemed to be upset that people were reporting on negative and not on the huge crowd gathered to see him.
“[Someone] wrote ‘F*** Kanye’ on that s***. Y’all wrote [about] that s*** in the press. Where the press at? Is y’all gonna write [about] all these [people] putting their hands up right now? Where the press at? Where the press at? They don’t run this s***. This is real rock n’ roll.” he wrote.
But the crowd apparently did not agree, particularly with that last line, which elicited audible groans.
“Entertainment Weekly” suggests that a big chunk of the audience began booing before exiting around that time, choosing instead to get an early jump on another act.
