Backstreet Boys
may be coming to the big screen in the near future.

Kevin Richardson tells us that the group has been working on a documentary during the world tour to promote its latest album, "In a World Like This:"

"We have been filming during this whole, the making of the record, the rehearsals for the tour, while we've been out on the road. It's kind of a making-of the record along with a, like, our story, how we got together and the rise and the ups and downs and the rollercoaster that we've been on."

The film is tentatively titled "Show 'Em What You're Made Of," named after the third single from the album, but Richardson says Backstreet Boys aren't yet sure how they'll put it out:

"A lot of artists have been doing, like, event releases. I think Bruce Springsteen did, like, a one- or two- or three- or four-day limited release in theaters where he did a press conference Q&A and a little acoustic performance right after the premiere of the film and it was simulcast to all these theaters all around the world...and we're thinking about doing something like that with our documentary."

Meanwhile, Backstreet Boys are busy on the road, currently in North America with Avril Lavigne and then in Europe starting June 27. The Backstreet Boys Cruise sails from Miami on October 24.
