Nicholas Sparks must be part-robot, because his output of novels and films is nothing short of remarkable.
The first trailer has been issued for “The Notebook” author’s latest film adaptation, “Best of Me.”
The October release stars James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan as former lovers who might just get a second chance to get it right.
The brief trailer is flashback-heavy, focusing on their time together in their youth before the reunion after two decades apart. This being a Nicholas Sparks film, the years have been kind to the duo physically (if not emotionally).
Marsden’s role was originally set to be played by Paul Walker before his death. Luke Bracey, Liana Liberato, Gerald McRaney and Jon Tenney also star.
Sparks already has his next book-to-movie transition in the works with “The Longest Ride.”
Clint Eastwood’s son Scott has been cast opposite Britt Robertson (“Under the Dome”) as a cowboy who falls for a college student.
