Jennifer Lopez
has dropped out of her planned performance at the opening ceremony for this year's World Cup soccer tournament on Thursday (June 12) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Lopez was expected to join Pitbull at the event to sing their World Cup theme "We Are One (Ole Ola)," but the "American Idol" judge has withdrawn, citing unspecified "production issues."

Pitbull will instead be joined by Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte for the performance, just before Brazil plays Croatia in the opening game of the tournament.

Lopez is preparing for the June 13 release of her new album, "A.K.A.," which features Pitbull on the track "Booty."
