Confirmed or rumor? Superfans will take just about any new info when it comes to their favorite artists. But to set the record straight, we’re breaking it down with the top five most-anticipated pop albums for the rest of the year:

1. Rihanna, TBA

We may see two new albums out of Rihanna coming up very soon. Along with starring in the upcoming DreamWorks animated film “Home,” she will be developing a concept album for the film. Work on her eighth studio album, which will be released on Jay Z’s Roc Nation label, is underway. A source told “The Sun” that RiRi expects both albums to produce “big hits,” and we all know Rihanna does more than “talk that talk”: Before taking a break last year, she released a Top 10 album every year for four years.

2. Taylor Swift, TBA

There hasn’t been too much information released yet regarding the 24-year-old’s fifth album, but based on her previous patterns, we should know more sometime this summer. Swift told Billboard at the 2013 VMAs, “[T]here are probably seven or eight songs to draw upon and write about. It’s already evolved into a new sound, and that’s all I wanted.” Since “Red” was released way back in 2012, we’re hoping that by the time her new record comes out, TSwift is still “feeling” 24.

3. Lady Gaga, “ARTPOP Vol. II”

Nothing is set in stone yet for the always unpredictable star, but for months, she has been throwing around the idea of giving her Little Monsters a little more “ARTPOP.” “There’s a strong possibility I will release another volume of “ARTPOP,” Gaga said in a recent interview with “Billboard.” Her “ARTPOP” certainly “could mean anything,” but we’re hoping it means more new music from Mother Monster sooner rather than later.

4. Maroon Five, “V”

September 2 is the official release date for the group’s fifth studio album according to an article published on their website Monday. The Adam Levine-led band also revealed that a brand new single will drop this summer in anticipation of the untitled LP. In addition to all this great news, tour dates will soon be announced, after the three-time Grammy-winning quintet recently signed a worldwide tour contract with Live Nation. But Maroon 5 is still far from “overexposed,” they’re just making 2014 their year.

5. Ed Sheeran, “x”

A little over a month ago, Ed Sheeran performed two singles from his upcoming album on SNL, called “Sing” and “Don’t.” Ever since, his fans have been desperately counting the days for the album, “x” (pronounced “multiply”), to drop on June 23. The record, which includes the Pharrell Williams-produced “Sing” and some rumored assistance from his pal Taylor Swift, is available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to hear what else the “Lego House” singer has in store.
