“The Bachelorette”
returned for a new season on Monday night, and with it came a remembrance of the late Eric Hill.

Hill was 31 years old when he passed away following a paragliding crash last month, after he had finished filming on the dating show.

Before Andi Dorfman’s reign as Bachelorette began, the network aired a dedication to the star, who planned to break a record for hitting every country on the planet at the time of his death.

Host Chris Harrison explained to “Entertainment Weekly” why the show’s producers chose to keep footage of the late contestant in the new season.

“…[W]e made the decision, I think wisely, to leave him in and not take him out of the show,” he told “EW.” “So the start was to at least acknowledge it there, and then honestly, we’re still figuring it out.”

“The Bachelorette” airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC. Do you agree with the way the show is handling the situation? Read more of Harrison’s comments here and weigh in below!
