Robin Thicke was confirmed today as a last-minute addition to Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards.
If TMZ is to be believed, it’s all part of his plan to “Get Her Back.” The site reports he will sing a new song by that title, which was no surprisingly written about his estranged wife, Paula Patton.
The lyrics reportedly include, ‘I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life.”
The roster of performers already includes 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, OneRepublic, Pitbull and Shakira.
“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the “Blurred Lines” singer and his wife said in a statement in February (via “People”).
With his MTV VMAs performance with Miley Cyrus still fresh, if there’s one thing Thicke knows how to do, it’s create a spectacle.
But is it what his wife wants? Sound off below and tune into the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday at 8pm on ABC.
