Two Ellens are better than one, so it’s no big shock that Ellen Page’s guest appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was a must-see.
Together, the two stars commiserated on their coming out experiences and the changing times, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
“I did not anticipate just how happy I would feel in just every aspect of my life – just an ease and a comfort, and it’s really just quite extraordinary to feel just the shift,” Page explained. “It was pretty much overnight too.”
Beyond that though, the “Juno” actress expressed her gratitude to the talk show host for being a trailblazer as a gay woman in Hollywood.
“I was so ready to do it and, quite frankly, so excited to do it, so it was a combination of just such a thrill to finally be at a place in my life where I was able to do that, and grateful to have that moment – and grateful to you – because you did it at a time where it was much harder and much scarier,” she added (via “THR”).
Page will star alongside Julianne Moore as one-half of a same-sex couple in the gay rights drama “Freeheld.”
