Over the past decade, “Mean Girls” has continued to be the gift that keeps on giving.

To commemorate the legendary teen movie’s 10-year anniversary later this month, star Daniel Franzese (Damian) spoke with “Cosmo” and spilled all the dirt on what went on behind-the-scenes.

The character was based on writer-star Tina Fey’s high school BFF, “TV Guide” writer Damian Holbrook, so the character would go on to write pop culture news.

From there, Franzese spilled that there was an original ending that featured Damian auditioning for “American Idol” and taking the fall for Kevin G., who got busted by Miss Norbury (Fey) for selling drugs at school!

Beyond that, Janice Ian (Lizzy Caplan) was supposed to “do some deep, meaningful poetry while playing the drums” during the now-iconic talent show.

The actor also revealed that James Franco was originally considered to play Aaron Samuels, a role eventually filled by Jonathan Bennett.
