“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy has already shaken up the show’s DNA this year, dropping the New Directions and Lima, OH altogether.
Now he’s about to do the same with the New York City locale that the show has featured for the past two seasons and is featuring exclusively for the rest of season 5, Vulture reports.
For the show’s sixth and final season, Murphy revealed another time jump is in the works and that although the “New York stuff will be alive, the final season is not New York-centric at all.”
Beyond that, the show will “definitely catch up” with second generation “Glee” students who disappeared when the show dropped the Ohio storyline.
Same goes for Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison), who features heavily into the show’s reconfigured ending along with Rachel (Lea Michele), in the wake of Cory Monteith's death.
