The “Game of Thrones” has only just begun!
HBO has reupped the fantasy drama for two more seasons, just one episode into its fourth season.
“‘Game of Thrones’ is a phenomenon like no other,” HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo said in the official release. “David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, along with their talented collaborators, continue to surpass themselves, and we look forward to more of their dazzling storytelling.”
The creators have hinted in the past that the show will likely only go for seven or eight years.
"It feels like this is the midpoint for us," Benioff told “Entertainment Weekly.” "If we're going to go seven seasons, which is the plan, season 4 is right down the middle, the pivot point.
The early renewal is not a surprise, as the premiere notched the cable network’s most-watched program since “The Sopranos.”
“GoT” airs Sundays at 9pm on HBO. Are you psyched about the two-season renewal?
