In a move that will surprise no one at this point, Shia LaBeouf has bowed out of a role in the upcoming comedy “Rock the Kasbah.”
The mercurial actor has exited the project, which follows a rock manager who is stranded in Kabul, where he makes lemons out of lemonade, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
The A-list cast includes Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel and Danny McBride, with LaBeouf set to play a military man.
Insiders tell “THR” that it was an amicable departure from “Kasbah,” though the actor certainly has displayed some odd behavior of late.
Just last month, LaBeouf spent a week doing a performance art piece in Los Angeles called “#IAmSorry,” in which he sat in a room with a paper bag over his head for several days.
The actor next stars in director Lars von Trier’s two-part “Nymphomaniac,” along with a co-starring role in Brad Pitt’s “Fury,” but he has no other acting parts lined up at this time.
