That methodology seemed to work for “The Lego® Movie,” which has already grossed more than $150 million since its release two weeks ago, according to Deadline.
Now the film is already getting a sequel, which is set for release on May 26, 2017. The “Lego® Movie” stars Chris Pratt as Emmet, a builder who learns that he might be special.
The rest of the all-star cast for the 3D animated movie includes Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell, Alison Brie, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.
The movie currently holds an astonishing 96 percent fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes and has made more than $200 million worldwide.
