Lamar Odom appears to be getting his life in order, and he sounds like he has hope that he can win back his estranged wife as well.
The basketball star, who just announced a deal to play ball professionally in Spain, spoke out at a press conference for his team, Baskonia, “Us Weekly” reports.
During the conference, he was extremely candid about his split from Khloe Kardashian.
“I love my wife. She’ll always be my wife, no matter what,” the 34-year-old star said (via “Us”). “Who know? We don’t know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife.”
Kardashian filed for divorce in December, following Odom’s arrest on suspicion of DUI charge after drug addiction allegations began to surface.
Odom admitted that things are “a work in progress,” going on to defend his wife from the criticism that their marriage impacted his career.
“Those were some of the best years of my life,” he added. “Being married and being married to a woman I decided to marry was, besides having children, the most important thing in my life.”
