The “Sex and the City” crew might be going for a big-screen hat trick.
Though the sequel took some critical heat, executive producer Michael Patrick King tells “Entertainment Weekly” that he and Sarah Jessica Parker have plans for one last story.
“Sarah Jessica and I both know what that final chapter is,” he said. “That doesn’t mean it will or should be told, but I do think there’s one story left. Whether it ever happens is a whole other situation. But there’s four girls, and those girls are still on my mind. There are other stories to tell and characters that haven’t even been written yet.”
King seems to be realistic about the opportunities, with the other three members of the “SATC” clan – Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon – showing varying levels of interest in reprising their iconic roles one last time.
The original show ended its six-season run ten years ago this month, spawning two feature films and a CW prequel series, “The Carrie Diaries.”
