“Once Upon a Time” actress Rose McIver has been cast in a highly-anticipated Lifetime movie, but it’s certainly no fairy tale.
McIver, who plays Tinker Bell on the ABC hit, has been cast in Lifetime’s sequel to their hit “Flowers in the Attic” adaptation, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
The film, titled “Petals on the Wind,” has the New Zealand actress filling the role of Cathy, played by Kiernan Shipka (“Mad Men”) in the original film released last month.
The star, who also recurred on Showtime’s “Masters of Sex,” joins returning duo Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn, reprising their roles as Cathy’s mother and grandmother, respectively.
“THR” reports that the film will take place ten years after “Flowers,” following the surviving Dollanganger siblings as they try to leave their terrible pasts behind, until Cathy “ultimately concocts a scheme to avenge herself on her mother.”
Production on “Petals” is set to begin soon, though a tentative release date has not yet been announced.
