Times are tough for former child stars, and nobody is more aware of that fact than Nickelodeon star Drake Bell.
Bell, who found fame as a regular star on “The Amanda Show” and later on his own Nick sitcom, “Drake & Josh,” reportedly filed for bankruptcy, TMZ reports.
The actor, 26, is “in the hole” for more than half a million dollars, and beyond that, he’s underwater in his $1.575 million home.
Since “Drake & Josh” ended in 2007, Bell has gone on to voice a number of animated series and starred in a handful of TV movies, including a series of live-action “Fairly OddParents” films for Nick.
In 2013, the star is reported to have made just over $14,000. Bell also star popped up in the news last year when he publicly defended his friend and former “Amanda Show” costar Amanda Bynes shortly before she entered treatment.
