Despite his claims that he’s “not famous anymore,” Shia LaBeouf is doing his best to make sure he stays in the headlines.
LaBeouf attended the Berlin Film Festival to promote his new project, “Nyphomaniac, Volume 1,” over the weekend.
It was clear something was amiss right from the start, when the 27-year-old star stormed out of a press conference after answering one question, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
“When the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown in to the sea,” he said when asked about the film’s love scenes. “Thank you very much.”
“THR” notes that the quote comes from comments make by French soccer star Eric Cantona back in 1995.
Later that same day, he strolled the red carpet at the festival’s gala premiere for the film wearing an interesting accessory.
In addition to his black tux, LaBeouf wore a paper bag over his head with the words, “I am not famous anymore,” painted on it.
The actor has posted that phrase on Twitter a number of times since new broke regarding alleged plagiarism in his short film.
