Marvel had a huge Super Bowl last night, showing off the first teaser for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” among other things.
The titular Captain, played again by Chris Evans, hasn’t taken center stage since “Captain America: The First Avenger” back in 2011.
Of course, that does not mean we’ve been left Captain America-less, as he starred in “The Avengers” and will return again next year in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
All that said, it’s great to see him back in action on his own, though the sequel deals with the major shift of the World War II-era character waking up in present-day New York.
But he isn’t the only one: his good pal from his military days, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), pops up in an unexpected way.
The film also stars Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson and Emily VanCamp.
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will blast into theaters on April 4. Do you plan to see it?
