Justin Bieber was released from prison on Thursday after his arrest on a DUI charge.
According to CBS News, bail was set at just $2,500, with the singer also facing a charge for driving on an expired license and resisting arrest.
Now TMZ reports that Bieber’s team is encouraging him to enter psychotherapy as soon as possible, as he has already reportedly “scoffed” at the prospect of going to rehab.
The pop star admitted to police that he had been smoking marijuana and taking prescription medication on the day of his arrest.
Though Bieber has not released a public statement or responded to the incident on social media, his manager, Scooter Braun, tweeted:
Braun added, "Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad."
His friend, rapper Crazy Khalil, was also arrested Thursday morning for driving under the influence, when the police saw the pair allegedly drag racing in Miami.
The investigation into whether Bieber egged his neighbor’s house, causing damage to the tune of $20,000 is ongoing as well.
