For the official 2014 World Cup song, FIFA is banking on a tried and true team.
Jennifer Lopez will collaborate with Pitbull once again on “We Are One (Ole Ola)” for the World Cup, along with Brazilian artist Claudia Leitte.
The trio will perform the track on the FIFA opening ceremony in the Arena de Sao Paulo on June 12, according to the official release.
“I grew up in a house that loved futbol, so I am thrilled to be performing at the World Cup Opening Ceremonies with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte,” says Jennifer Lopez. “This is an amazing celebration of global unity, competition and the sport.”
J.Lo and Pitbull have previously recorded together on hits like “Dance Again” and “On the Floor.”
“We Are One” will be released later in 2014 ahead of the World Cup, with a music video in development as well.
The last World Cup single, Shakira’s “Waka Wake (This Time for Africa),” became a worldwide sensation upon its release, garnering nearly 600 million Youtube hits.
