At 77 years of age, Bruce Dern is showing no signs of slowing down.
Just one day after receiving a Best Actor Oscar nod for his role in Alexander Payne’s “Nebraska,” the veteran actor confirmed that he has spoken with Quentin Tarantino about joining his next project.
According to Deadline, the film, a Western, is known as “The Hateful Eight,” and little else is known, other than Tarantino has finished a draft of the script.
Dern spoke with “EW” about the reports, stating that he and Tarantino “had a conversation” about the film.
“I mean, he hasn’t hired me or anything. But we had a conversation about the material, yes we did,” he shared.
Rumor has it that he’s also looking to cast Christoph Waltz, the Austrian star who has appeared in both “Inglorious Basterds” and “Django Unchained.”
Though the film didn’t take home the Golden Globe, Dern’s daughter, Laura Dern (HBO’s “Enlightened”) introduced “Nebraska” as one of the Best Drama nominees on Sunday.
