“American Horror Story” has effortlessly reinvented itself over the course of its first three seasons, and the fourth is shaping up to be just as unique.
With “Coven” set to wrap up later this month, the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy (“Glee”), has started doling out bits of info about the next season.
The biggest news is that season 4, which will likely debut on FX this fall, is set in 1950, “Entertainment Weekly” reports.
“If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some clues in that year,” Murphy teased. “It’s a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we’ve done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I’m very excited!”
When later pressed by “EW” about when he’ll start teasing the new season arc on-screen, Murphy said the signs are already there.
“There has been [a tease] in the last episode actually, looking back at it,” he added. “The Easter eggs are there.”
