CBS is betting big on larger-than-life mysteries this summer.
The network has revealed the premiere dates for season two of “Under the Dome” and the Halle Berry-starring “Extant.”
“Dome” will return on Monday, June 30 at 10pm, while “Extant” will begin airing on Wednesday, July 2 at 9pm.
The thriller stars Berry as “a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space.”
According to the official press release, her experiences set off a domino effect that “will change the course of human history.”
In its sophomore season, “Under the Dome” will again focus on the lives of the residents of Chester’s Mill after a mysterious dome encapsulates the entire town, leaving them to uncover the truth and try to stay alive.
CBS will likely announce the premiere date for its flagship summer series, “Big Brother,” at a later date. “Unforgettable” is also set to return for a third season in the summer.
