Chris Brown is facing his latest legal battle over an alleged assault in Washington, D.C., and he has reportedly turned down a plea deal.
TMZ reports that he nixed the deal, which would reduce the misdemeanor assault charge to “smiple assault.”
At the center of the rejected plea is the reported search for surveillance video of the incident, which law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Brown’s lawyer has not yet seen.
In late November, the judge ordered Brown to 90 days in rehab for anger management and was reportedly “impressed by Chris’ progress.”
The incident in question took place outside a D.C. hotel back in the fall, during which he allegedly punched a stranger once in the face.
According to TMZ, the judge in his Rihanna legal battle revoked his probation last month after the charges, and a hearing is set for February.
