Gal Gadot faced a fairly odd reaction when it was revealed that she would take on the iconic role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” project.
Though the criticism wasn’t quite as vitriolic as was her co-star Ben Affleck’s casting as Batman, the attention quickly turned to the Israeli actress’s body type.
While talking with a Hebrew-language entertainment show, Gadot opened up about her plans for “the physical preparations” for taking on the iconic part, E! News reports.
“A very serious training regimen – Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, Jujutsu, Brazilian… 1,000-and-1 things,” the petite star explains (via E!). “I’ll gain body mass.”
It’s also important to note that the 28-year-old star, who has previously appeared in three of the “Fast & Furious” films, served in the Israeli army for two years.
The “Man of Steel” sequel will hit theaters on July 17, 2015. What do you think of the casting? Weigh in below!
