The same day he and his family were celebrated on Barbara Walters’s final “Most Fascinating People” special, “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson was suspended from the smash reality series.

During an interview with “GQ,” Robertson was asked about what he considered to be sinful.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there – bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and those men,” he responded in kind (via CNN).

Robertson continued to explain his point before adding, “But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

In response, A+E Networks placed him on indefinite leave and expressed their disappointment, stating, “His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.”

The show has become a surprising success for A&E, spawning a book and a Christmas album in addition to regularly drawing millions of viewers each week.

Season 5 of “Duck Dynasty” will premiere on Wednesday, January 15.
