Normally, hearing that the apocalypse is on its way would be a bad thing.
But not when said end of the world is going in the form of a new X-Men movie, “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
Bryan Singer, who directed the first two films in the original trilogy and has returned to helm “Days of Future Past,” confirmed the news on Twitter on Thursday:
According to “Entertainment Weekly,” the third film in the second “X-Men” franchise will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
For non-comic book fanatics, Apocalypse is the world’s first mutant, who has “transformed himself into a superpowered cyborg using alien technology.
While “Days of Future Past” features stars like Hugh Jackman and Ellen Page from the original films, it’s too early to tell if “Apocalypse” will continue with the crossover.
