While we knew that “X-Men: Days of Future Past” would feature our favorite mutants heading back in time, a new video suggests that the death of President John F. Kennedy will play a significant role in the forthcoming sequel.
On Tuesday, a new video was released titled “The Bent Bullet: JFK and the Mutant Conspiracy,” according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
An article on a site called thebentbullet.com details Erik Lehnsherr’s (AKA Magneto) departure from the X-Men following the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which is featured heavily in “X-Men: First Class.”
“Half a century ago, Magneto was implicated in the mutant plot to assassinate President John F. Kennedy,” one line in the story reads.
The release of the 75-second video coincides closely with the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy’s passing on November 22.
“X-Men: Days of Future Past” will hit theaters on May 23, 2014. How do you feel about JFK’s role in the new X-Men flick? Sound off in the comments!
