While it’s hard to believe that December is only days away, Kelly Clarkson and a slew of other female performers are already gearing up for Christmas.
Zap2it reports that Clarkson, who released her first Christmas album late last month, will perform during NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special on December 4.
Mariah Carey, whose 1994 “Merry Christmas” album remains a holiday classic, has also agreed to perform, along with Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande and Jewel, among others.
The special will be hosted by “Today Show” stars Matt Lauer, Savanna Guthrie, Natalie Morales and Al Roker.
Aside from her Rock Center performance, the “Wrapped in Red” singer also has an NBC holiday special called “Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale” planned for the following week.
On Wednesday, December 11, Clarkson’s “A Christmas Carol”-inspired story will air, with the “From Justin to Kelly” star returning to acting as the character who learns “the true meaning of Christmas.”
“Christmas in Rockefeller Center” will air on Wednesday, December 4 at 8pm, with NBC’s live “Sound of Music” set to air the following night.
