To say that Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks has influenced the current season of “American Horror Story” would be an understatement.
Not only have several of the iconic singer’s songs been featured on season 3, subtitled “Coven,” but a character named Misty idolizes her and her music.
Now Nicks is rumored to be prepping for a guest starring appearance on the show, according to “E! News.”
The show’s creator, Ryan Murphy (“Glee”), took to Twitter to announce that the songstress was stopping by the set:
The move would not be a huge surprise, as Murphy and Nicks have a longstanding relationship. The showrunner has used several Fleetwood Mac songs on his other hit series, FOX’s “Glee,” including an episode devoted to the group’s “Rumours” album.
Also, Nicks agreed to let him use a reported eight songs, both solo and with the band, on “Coven,” and she has personally reached out to “Glee” actress Lea Michele in the wake of Cory Monteith’s tragic death.
“American Horror Story: Coven” airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on FX. Do you think Murphy’s tweet means Stevie is going to guest star? Should she play herself or a different, witchy character? Sound off in the comments section below!
