Mark Wahlberg took on a true-life story in “The Perfect Storm,” and early next year, the actor is set to star in another tragic tale based in reality.

The “Pain & Gain” star will next appear on-screen in “Lone Survivor,” based on the 2005 SEAL Team 10 mission, a mission in which all but Marcus Luttrell (Wahlberg) perished.

The second full trailer for the project has debuted, showing more details about four Navy SEALs’ plan to take down a high-level al-Qaeda operative.

According to the official description, the group is ambushed by the Taliban and must try to “find reserves of strength and resilience as they stay in the fight to the finish.”

Along with Wahlberg, the film also stars Taylor Kitsch (“Friday Night Lights”), Eric Bana, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster (“Alpha Dogg”) and “Entourage” star Jerry Ferrara.

“Lone Survivor” is expected to reach theaters on January 10, 2014. Check out the trailer for the film and let us know what you think in the comments!
