Perhaps everyone should have paid closer attention to Lady Gaga’s “Venus” lyrics.
Mother Monster plans to be the first musician to sing in outer space and plans to “blast off to a new dimension” in early 2015, according to “Us Weekly.”
Gaga has signed on to take off into space on a Virgin Galactic ship and sing during the Zero G Colony tech festival in New Mexico.
“She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere,” one insider tells “Us.”
Before then, the pop star is busy promoting the release of her third LP, “Artpop,” which is streaming on iTunes ahead of its November 11 release, as well as gearing up for her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut on November 16.
Notably, Gaga's foray into space has nothing to do with Robert Rodriguez's proposed "Machete" threequel, "Machete Kill Again... in Space," though she did star in the sequel earlier this year.
