The latest iteration of “American Horror Story” appears to have cast a spell on viewers, as the network has renewed the series for a fourth season.
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” FX has renewed the series for another 13-episode season, though the premise for the anthology series’ latest reboot has not yet been revealed.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy recently said that he’s been toying with revealing the location of the next season as the final image of season 3, subtitled “Coven,” to tide viewers over until the show returns.
“We might have the [“Coven”] finale and then announce at the end of the show what next year is by doing some visual thing,” he told “Entertainment Weekly. “I think the last image of the season is what you’re getting next year.”
Murphy’s muse, Jessica Lange, is on board to return for season 4, though she recently claimed that it would be her last.
Yet the TV creator isn’t giving up that easily, saying it is not the first time Lange has made that claim. He told “THR,” “Every year, she says, ‘OK, that’s my last one.’”
“American Horror Story: Coven” airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on FX.
