Congratulations are in order for first-time mom Morena Baccarin!
The “Homeland” actress and her husband, Austin Chick, welcomed a baby boy named Julius on Tuesday, “People” reports.
The newborn, who weighed just under eight pounds, was born in Glendale, California, with a rep for the star adding, “Julius and his mother are happy and healthy.”
While Baccarin’s baby was breech, her physician, Dr. Ronald Wu, was able to help her deliver naturally.
“I’m so happy I was able to deliver with Dr. Wu,” the 34-year-old star told “People.” “Breech delivery is a dying art and he gave me the birth experience I wanted.”
After starring on sci-fi series like “Firefly” and “V,” Baccarin has become well-known for her co-starring role as Jessica Brody on Showtime’s hit “Homeland,” which was just renewed for a fourth season.
Despite filming the show’s third season while pregnant, Jess, already a mother of two is not expecting on the series.
